The Metalskills Story

Metalskills Story

The story of Metalskills began over 25 years ago when President Gene Crook owned and operated a machining, fabricating, and assembly business. As his business grew, he personally interviewed and employed over 500 metalworkers including Welders, CNC Machinists, Toolmakers, Fabricators, CAD Operators, and other various skilled workers. Employees were trained to machine complex parts, perform X-Ray welds, make tooling and build custom machinery for fortune 100 companies. With a thorough method of interviewing, testing, and screening candidates, we developed a highly motivated and skilled workforce.

From our many years of experience in the metalworking field came the concept of Metalskills, an expert staffing service that understands your needs. It has been our experience that it takes a lot of valuable time and money to test and train prospective employees, and that is why Metalskills makes sense. We offer a solution to finding the right talent and virtually eliminating this expense to our customers.

Our recruiters make it possible for companies to quickly employ skilled workers with the assurance that they have the talent to perform on the job. Our expert interviewing, testing, and screening process ensures quality employees. We continue to strive to become the best staffing company in the metalworking field.

The Perfect Match

We all know that when you put on a pair of "miss matched socks", it is embarrassing, but when there is a miss match of skill on the job the stakes are higher! It will be a major cost to your company. At Metalskills, we guarantee a perfect match of skills for every job we fill to give our clients the best deal.

How do we do that? For Starters, we do not rely just on "resumes and reference checks" as other staffing companies do, but we go the extra mile by hands-on testing to make sure the applicant's skills are a perfect match for every job. We call this, "The Show Me Method of Staffing".

Welders are required to prove their welding skill by "actually welding" at one of our four testing and training centers. Machinists and other tradesmen, must prove their skill by passing rigorous assessment tests. Our welding and assessment examinations provide our clients with the final proof and guarantee that our applicants are "THE PERFECT MATCH" for the job.

Remember, if it's made of metal our "hands" can build it, perfectly!
